As a photographer you live by “natural light”. But if my husband/contractor hears me say that phrase again he’s likely to combust.
Seriously though, we have taken lighting into account in every room and at every angle in designing Emerson Fields event venue. Case in point; we were framing up the exterior wall of the bridal suite in the second story on Tuesday and we changed the “plans” to add more northern light coming in to the room. We also placed the entrance to the bridal room directly centered in the upstairs balcony area so that it would balance the area for optimal photographing opportunities. To summarize, I’m always thinking ahead and Steve’s usually a step ahead of me on making those ideas happen!
One more “light” story to share about the full window end wall. (This will be the wall seen from the highway and the view as you’re coming up the driveway.) We, and I include our buddy Robbie in the “we”, were deciding on the size of the windows for the end wall and I, of course, wanted them to make a statement. It ended up, after some discussion and a marital counseling session from Robbie, that we decided to frame out the windows for 5’ x 7.5’ windows across the middle section and placed SIX of them there. Talk about gorgeous, warm, evening light flowing in!
We are having a fun time framing and just this afternoon we are taking measurements for the roof trusses. That’s going to be an exciting day seeing those go on!
We’ve booked several weddings for 2018 and we are constantly updating our website and Facebook so I hope you enjoy following along. Many friends and acquaintances comment that they enjoy seeing the progress as they drive past on Highway 63 or as they see new posts. Honk when you go by. Comment or ask questions when we post. Spread the word that it helps us out when you “like” our page or visit our website. It is humbling knowing that you are interested in what we’re doing. It is SO appreciated knowing that we have your support as well.
