Emerson Fields was THE most amazing venue and I highly recommend it. From Amelia helping me get down the stairs with my bulky dress to having Steve make sure everything is off without a hitch, they truly are the dream team. They truly care about your wedding and love to share in every joyful aspect. LOVE THEM

Simple. Caring. No Fuss. Easy. BEAUTIFUL. Convenience. Emerson Fields had it all. Don’t overlook them. There are no extra hidden fees at Emerson Fields. You want to use their chairs? Go ahead! You need to use their arbor? Easy! They’ll even set it up for you. Want to buy all your alcohol at Sams and bring it yourself? Not a problem! Need to get there early to set up on Friday? Already included. Don’t want to make your wedding party stay after the wedding to clean up? At Emerson Fields you can do it the next day! Did you forget a knife to cut up all that watermelon you bought? No worries, Amelia will run over from her house and personally give you her kitchen knife! (true story). We are almost a month out from our wedding and we are still processing just how beautiful our wedding weekend was. From the rehearsal dinner to Sunday clean-up brunch, it was all perfect. Thank you Emerson Fields!!!

The first time we walked into Emerson Fields, my husband looked at me and said: ‘This is it.’ He was so right. Emerson Fields was exactly what we had envisioned for our big day. The venue itself is beyond beautiful; every detail is so carefully thought out. Steve and Amelia welcomed us so warmly, like we had known them forever. That same warmth continued all the way to our wedding day and beyond. I had a million questions for Amelia and she answered every single one of them with the same friendliness from the first time we met. Steve and Amelia worked to make sure our day was everything we had dreamed of...and it ended up being better than anything we could have imagined. They put their hearts into this place and you can see it with every wedding that happens here. We are so grateful that we were able to start our new beginning at Emerson Fields!

It by far exceeded my expectations and I’m soooo thankful for Amelia and her hard work, guidance and dedication to make this the perfect wedding. We also utilized the venue for our rehearsal dinner Friday night, which was perfect. Words cannot express how happy I am with Emerson Fields. So excited to have my wedding here next summer. Just say yes and book here! You won’t regret it. Price, aesthetic and individuality are three things you can’t ignore here. Book book book!!!

Emerson Fields was a gorgeous venue for our wedding. We could not have asked for a better experience - Amelia & Steve were so responsive and helpful with all of our questions & needs. Our favorite aspect of the venue was that we had it from noon on Friday to noon on Sunday. We thought this was so incredible as many venues we looked at didn’t allow this amount of time. My husband, family, friends & I had such a great time hanging out and RELAXING all weekend. We would recommend Emerson Fields to anyone!

Emerson Fields is hands down one of the best venues in Missouri. The owners are some of the sweetest people I have worked with in the wedding industry. This is one of the most well thought out venues I’ve been to. Their venue is a photographer’s dream and will allow your day to be captured beautifully. The experience they provide their clients is one of a kind. The possibilities for how your day will look here are endless! You are in the best hands possible when you book your wedding here. Having photographed and enjoyed the experience here, I would HIGHLY recommend Emerson Fields to anyone needing an event and/or wedding space.

Amelia and Steve went above and beyond for my wife and I when we had our wedding at their venue. Our wedding fell on one of the hottest days of the year. We were really concerned, because the best option for us considering the size of our wedding was to have it outside. The pavilion was under construction, and it was not supposed to be ready. But Steve woke up at 4:30 the day before to put the finishing touches on so that our wedding could be shaded - without us requesting. Neither of us are from Macon and many of our guests had to travel at least an hour to get to the wedding. We have gotten many complements about the venue and wedding in general, and I believe our guests quickly realized why we chose this venue. A big thank you to Emerson Fields for helping make our wedding day special!

I wouldn’t just recommend but I would rather rave over the 2 very important things.
1. The venue as a whole, beauty, style, functionality, and vendor friendly. When your looking for a venue it’s easy to get caught up in the glamour or style but when you have multiple things come together that will make your day easy then you have found your dream venue. The pictures do not do it justice and the overall scheme of the venue is laid out so well. I am very impressed.
2. The staff or owners are fantastic. Their hospitality was wonderful. They are bought in on the big day and event you have.
I am so excited to be able to go back to DJ. This is truly a great place in Missouri to hold any event.

This venue is top notch and full of small details to make a wedding day run smoothly. I was the maid of honor in a wedding here and was blown away by the attentiveness of the venue staff, how many little details they had in place to make things perfect, and the elegance of all parts of this space. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a stress-free and beautiful wedding day! Steve and Amelia are wonderful and made my best friend’s dreams come true, as well as my job as a MOH much easier!
— Caroline, Maid of Honor

Emerson Fields is more than just a venue, it is a complete experience! My husband and I had our reception there and Steve and Amelia went above and beyond for us. The building is absolutely stunning and designed with a photographer’s eye in mind! The bridal suite is gorgeous and the grooms room is wonderful! Emerson Fields is more than just about the building, its about the celebration and making the entire experience unique for each couple. One amazing feature of Emerson Fields are the design appointments. Amelia meets with each couple before the wedding and go over plans and details to make sure they(Steve and Amelia) know how to best serve each couple. This allows for everyone to have a personalized and unique experience and make each wedding perfect. We truly love Emerson Fields and could not have imagined a more perfect or magical day! Steve and Amelia are wonderful people and do a phenomenal job making everyone feel special!

My husband and I recently got married at Emerson Fields and it truly is the perfect venue space. Amelia and Steve are beautiful people and it is so evident that this is their passion. One of the biggest regrets I have is not hiring a wedding planner. Thankfully Amelia went above and beyond to make our day perfect. When I forgot my veil in the bridal suite, she went to get it. When there was a massive storm and we lost power, she was one of the first to reassure this bride. If you are looking for a venue where you aren’t just “another couple,” Emerson Fields is your place. It is versatile and organically beautiful; it requires minimal decoration! As a penny-pincher I was a little intimidated by the cost but it is worth EVERY penny. Emerson Fields provides a substantial amount of accommodations compared to other venues. Believe me, I looked at almost every venue in the state. I am so grateful for Emerson Fields and the Holder Family for making May 18th the best day of my life.

I am so thankful that we stumbled across Emerson Fields one day on the way to Kirksville! My husband and I were looking for a venue that allowed for flexibility when it came to planning our wedding. We had looked into a couple of other venues, but when we met with Amelia, we knew our search was over. Not only did we fall in love with how beautiful the venue was and how picturesque their land was, but we saw how passionate Amelia and Steve were when it came to creating the perfect wedding day for so many couples. Throughout our engagement there was always open communication with Amelia in case we had any questions regarding our wedding. When it came to the big day, she was more than helpful in making sure that everyone knew the important information needed to make the day run smoothly. I still can’t get over how perfect and special the day was, and I can’t thank Amelia and Steve for their role in it :) For anyone who wants a beautiful venue for their special day that is run by an amazing and caring couple, they should definitely check Emerson Fields out!

I met Steve and Amelia before their venue was even completed. We sat for two hours and chatted about their goals and dreams for the venue. When walking through the venue Amelia shared her vision for the completed venue, and as she spoke I could envision the completed project. Coming back a few months later and seeing the completed venue was a treat, because it was exactly what I had envisioned from Amelia’s words. Amelia and Steve were not only thinking of all the sweet couples that would exchange vows at their venue when they were building it. They were also thinking of logistics and ease of operation for all of the vendors that would be present to help make these couples’ wedding days a success, and as a wedding photographer you don’t know what a relief that is. I absolutely love photographing at Emerson Fields for several reasons. The light, the scenery, the charm, but most importantly, I love photographing at Emerson Fields because I love working with Steve and Amelia. They are the heartbeat and the soul of Emerson Fields. They truly care about everyone who walks through their door and the experience they will have inside. Brides and Grooms, I urge you to check out Emerson Fields as your wedding venue. Steve and Amelia will not take lightly the most important day of your life, and they will do everything they can to make your experience at Emerson Fields a beautiful, happy, and memorable one.

The moment we walked into Emerson Fields, a sense of calm washed over us. Wedding planning was already a stressful experience for me — but that immediate calm told me everything I needed to know. The space is absolutely awash with natural light, with gorgeous places both indoors and outdoors (including a meadow, the one thing I yearned for). We felt confident that with a canvas like this, the event would be beautiful no matter what. More importantly, we felt freedom to craft a non-traditional day that reflected us as a couple. The day was everything we hoped it would be, and Amelia & Rebecca were wonderful to work with! They not only have impeccable taste and wonderful eyes for detail, but are both such warm spirits. You cannot go wrong with this place.

Emerson Fields was an amazing venue for my daughter’s wedding! It by far exceeded our expectations and I was so impressed how Amelia worked to make it not only a beautiful and perfect wedding but an entire weekend of celebration. We were fortunate enough to have several out of town family and friends be able to attend the wedding. Therefore, we were able to utilize the venue for the entire three days for not only a beautiful wedding but a rehearsal supper on Friday night, and again on Sunday morning for the couple to open their presents with their family. This made the weekend even more special since we were able to spend so much time with our family. I cannot express enough how happy and satisfied I am with Emerson Fields.
