“BOOK THIS VENUE! Not only is Emerson Fields the most gorgeous venue, Amelia (the owner) truly makes your life so much more simple! As a bride, that’s important! The booking process was so easy! You get a design consultation where Amelia will ask how you want the venue set up for the reception - where you plan on having the ceremony - and a back up plan if the weather isn’t appropriate for an outdoor wedding, if that’s your preference. I truly can’t say enough good things about this venue! After I had my wedding the first thing I said to individuals who aren’t married yet was “spend the money on a beautiful wedding venue” because at the end of the day my guests were in awe about how beautiful the place was! And this venue is it! Again, BOOK THIS VENUE! I promise you won’t regret it for a single second!”

“Our day was amazing thanks to Amelia and Steve! It was supposed to rain all day and our plan was to have the ceremony outside, so Steve and Amelia got BOTH areas ready just in case and had the venue and pavilion in beautiful shape for the wedding. We got to have the wedding outdoors and the pictures were amazing! We couldn’t ask for a better person to work with than Amelia. “When we saw the absolute BEAUTY of Emerson Fields, we knew that our daughter was going to have the dream wedding she’d always wished for. Amelia is the most gracious hostess and you leave a conversation with her knowing that she has everything thought through and will have the venue tables, chairs, and linens ready for you. The views here are gorgeous, with the windows and lighting making everything lovely and airy. There are wonderful spots for the cake table, guest sign in, gifts, drinks and coffee bar, and food tables. The kitchen was large and commercial quality, which was very nice, since the food was all prepared on site. The room for the bride and her bridesmaids to prepare in was one of my special memory places...so beautiful, and peacefully decorated. Seeing my lovely “little girl” in her dress, praying with her, seeing her with her sisters and closest friends...all in the loveliest of spaces. Thank you, Amelia and Steve, for creating such a beautiful venue in mid-Missouri!”

“We had so many people that attended {our wedding} that told us how beyond beautiful the space we picked was! It had so many things we loved like the dock, bridal & groom suite, the field, the whole inside, and exposed brick walls! It was also nice having owners that were super helpful! Amelia took behind the scenes pictures of us getting the venue ready, vendors setting up, rehearsal dinner, and our wedding day! She even sent us an album of all the pictures the next day! I loved that because I didn’t really get to see everything getting set up!”

“Simple. Caring. No Fuss. Easy. BEAUTIFUL. Convenience. Emerson Fields had it all. Don’t overlook them. There are no extra hidden fees at Emerson Fields. You want to use their chairs? Go ahead! You need to use their arbor? Easy! They’ll even set it up for you. Want to buy all your alcohol at Sam’s Club and bring it yourself? Not a problem! Need to get there early to set up on Friday? Already included. Don’t want to make your wedding party stay after the wedding to clean up? At Emerson Fields you can do it the next day! Did you forget a knife to cut up all that watermelon you bought? No worries, Amelia will run over from her house and personally give you her kitchen knife (true story)! We are almost a month out from our wedding and we are still processing just how beautiful our wedding weekend was. From the rehearsal dinner to Sunday clean-up brunch, it was all perfect. “Invest in this great venue. That way, you won’t have to stress about décor, a place to get ready, or a place for the rehearsal dinner. It’s all right on site and SO accessible. You {Steve and Amelia} were more helpful than we could have ever imagined. Also the items that were included with the cost surprised us: table set up, tablecloths, farm house tables, the list goes on and on! Thinking back, the cost is WELL worth every. single. penny.”
“I wouldn’t just recommend Emerson Fields, but I would rather rave over 2 very important things.
1. The venue as a whole: beauty, style, functionality, and vendor-friendly. When you’re looking for a venue it’s easy to get caught up in the glamour or style but when you have multiple things come together that will make your day easy then you have found your dream venue. The pictures do not do it justice and the overall scheme of the venue is laid out so well. I am very impressed.
2. The staff and owners are fantastic. Their hospitality was wonderful. They are bought in on your big day and any event you have.
I am so excited to be able to go back to DJ. This is truly a great place in Missouri to hold any event.”
“Amelia and Steve went above and beyond for my wife and I when we had our wedding at their venue. Our wedding fell on one of the hottest days of the year. We were really concerned, because the best option for us considering the size of our wedding was to have it outside. The pavilion was under construction, and it was not supposed to be ready. But Steve woke up at 4:30 AM the day before to put the finishing touches on it so that our wedding could be shaded - without us requesting. Neither of us are from Macon and many of our guests had to travel at least an hour to get to the wedding. We have gotten many complements about the venue and wedding in general, and I believe our guests quickly realized why we chose this venue. A big thank you to Emerson Fields for helping make our wedding day special!”

Emerson Fields is more than the building, it’s about the celebration and making the entire experience unique for each couple. One amazing feature of Emerson Fields is the design appointment. Amelia meets with each couple before the wedding and goes over plans and details to make sure they (Steve and Amelia) know how to best serve each couple. “My husband and I recently got married at Emerson Fields and it truly is the perfect venue space. Amelia and Steve are beautiful people and it is so evident that this is their passion. One of the biggest regrets I have is not hiring a wedding planner. Thankfully Amelia went above and beyond to make our day perfect. When I forgot my veil in the bridal suite, she went to get it. When there was a massive storm and we lost power, she was one of the first to reassure this bride. If you are looking for a venue where you aren’t just “another couple,” Emerson Fields is your place.
It is versatile and organically beautiful; it requires minimal decoration! As a penny-pincher I was a little intimidated by the cost but it is worth EVERY penny. Emerson Fields provides a substantial amount of accommodations compared to other venues. Believe me, I looked at almost every venue in the state. “I am so thankful that we stumbled across Emerson Fields one day on the way to Kirksville! My husband and I were looking for a venue that allowed for flexibility when it came to planning our wedding. “I met Steve and Amelia before their venue was even completed. We sat for two hours and chatted about their goals and dreams for the venue. When walking through the venue Amelia shared her vision for the completed venue, and as she spoke I could envision the completed project. “Wow! Amelia and Steve Holder have made a first class wedding venue with Emerson Fields. My daughter’s wedding was truly an amazing event at Emerson Fields. Amelia understands what is required for a successful event and provides it all at Emerson Fields. Facilities are fantastic and spacious, you have the venue all weekend so you are not crunched for time during preparation, decoration, celebration or reclamation (cleaning). If you have a question, she has five recommendations, if you need something for the wedding, she knows who rents it or sells it or cooks it.
